Berge Ayvazian
Partner, Wireless 20/20 and Managing Partner Distrikt Ventures

Berge Ayvazian is a senior telecom and wireless industry analyst and consultant, with a 35-year career, including more than 20 years with the Yankee Group.  Ayvazian served as CEO of the Yankee Group from 1999 to 2001 and Vice Chairman of its Board of Directors after selling the company to Reuters in 2002.  

Ayvazian is currently a Partner, Senior Analyst and Consultant with Wireless 20/20, a US-based independent market research and consulting company focused on the rapidly evolving wireless, mobile and broadband markets worldwide.  He leads an integrated practice to help mobile operators and their vendors to develop their wireless technology roadmaps and build a complete WiROI™ Business Case to optimize their 5G and IoT network investments. Ayvazian is currently conducting research on 5G technology, OpenRAN, spectrum, IoT Networks and AI strategies.  With a software development team in Armenia, Wireless 20/20 is developing a new suite of database, spectrum, network planning and mapping tools to guide operator clients in their fiber and 5G wireless network deployments.  Ayvazian has published several white papers on how the wireless industry can harness AI in the transition to 5G networks and he also serves a frequent speaker and moderator for mobile and telecom industry events worldwide, including the Big 5G Event, Tower & Small Cell Summit and 5G World conferences.

Berge Ayvazian was co-founder and President of the Armenian High-Tech Council of America (ArmTech), and has been dedicated to the development of the high tech sector in Armenia since 2000.  He has been active promoting and advising Armenian tech companies, attending Armtech Congress and Digitec and serving as an angel investor in start-ups.  Ayvazian was also co-founder of Nortelco CJSC, a franchisee of Orange Armenia, and currently serves as Managing Director of Distrikt Ventures, a unique new technology investment project that fosters innovation to promote the UNDP's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Armenia.

Berge Ayvazian holds a B.A. from Bucknell University and an M.A. from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania.  He is also a former member of the adjunct faculty at Boston University’s College of Communication.
